Callaway Men's Strata Ultimate 18-Piece Golf Set is a complete package for the beginner to intermediate player that leaves little to be desired at this price point. I am a beginner and have been using a cheaper Prosimmon golf set that compares poorly to the Strata Ultimate. The Strata Ultiamte irons have just right heft for me and provide a very solid impact without too much shock. I have been incredibly more consistent with these irons than the Prosimmon irons. While I still can't get much control with the driver, I found the other clubs easy enough to get a solid hit. Another plus over the Prosimmon is how much lighter the whole set is, especially the bag (which has a built in stand).I have to say the overall, I really love this set and would recommend to anyone just starting out or looking to upgrade slightly from a cheap set, like I did. I find my shots improving much more at the driving range than with my first set of clubs (though that could be partially because I'm getting the hang of it now). My only complaint is that the clubs could have better guides for beginners to line up their shots, etc. The handle's markings make it easy to get a proper grip though. The clubs all look really great as well and not so flashy.
